Please Pray

1. For the leadership team in all the school districts in the South Hills, that they will continue to seek Christ so that they can give their own lives away continually
2. For more committee people and financial help
3. For ALL the teenagers of Pittsburgh, that they may seek Christ with the same passion with which they seek things of the world
4. That their adult leaders will have favor with the kids
5. That their relationships will grow, and they can share the Gospel with these young people
6. For the reestablishment of Young Life in the City of Pittsburgh, East Liberty area, and for the resources and sponsors to make this happen

Brief Histories

In response to an emerging adolescent subculture, Young Life began with a focus on high school kids. The first Young Life leaders realized that to reach kids who had no interest in organized religion, they would have to understand and be present in that world. Young Life knows that culture has changed dramatically in the last six decades since its start in the 1940s, but the high school years are still a time when most teenagers make important life choices, including what they believe about God. So Young Life is right there in their midst sharing with them the great news of a God who loves them.

Chris Buda

Chris is a graduate of Dickinson Law School.  After working several years as an attorney and volunteering with Young Life, his passion for young people led him into full - time work on Young Life's staff.  He serves as the Regional Director for Young Life in the River Region (eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia).  Over the years, Young Life has given Chris the opportunity to speak to tens of thousands of kids all over the world about Jesus Christ.  Even more important is the impact Chris has had on individual kids' lives.

John Allevato is the Young Life leader in Mt. Lebanon and Josh Lucas leads the Upper St. Clair Club.
