Brief Biography

Greg and Sally have been serving Christ among the Muslims for 46 years in India, the Arab world, Europe, and Malaysia. Now based once again in the UK, they continue to oversee pioneer church planters among the Muslims in Malaysia, Sumatra, the Arab countries, and among Pakistanis in England. 

Greg also specializes in the history of ministry to Muslims and has written or edited publications including a textbook—A History of Christian Mission Among Muslims Since the Birth of Islam: A History of Christian-Muslim Encounter in Malaysia, a chapter of past efforts in Fruitful Practices, and others.

The Frontiers’ mission is to glorify God by planting churches with pioneer teams among all Muslim peoples by working in coordination with others who share the same vision. Among the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), 70% of the missionaries are focused on the Muslim world.

Greg Livingstone was instrumental in founding both Operation Mobilization and Frontiers. He served as Director of Arab World Ministries—North America, and assists the Muslim work of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s World Outreach ministry. The partnership of the sending churches of Greg and Sally has led to the placement and coaching for over 1000 long term missionaries in 40 Muslim countries. Greg’s primary gift is as a "team forming coach." He continues to birth and deploy pioneer teams from many nations, whose goal is to establish house churches led by their own elders with Muslim backgrounds.

Greg is from Aspen, Colorado and Sally grew up in Mt. Lebanon, worshiping at Beverly Heights. They met at Wheaton College, which has honored them with the Distinguished Alumni of 2009 award.  Greg has his doctorate from BIOLA Univ. in Missiology, and Sally her MS in Family Counseling from Villanova University. Their sons Evan, David, and Paul were born in India, Germany, and Lebanon. Evan is a lawyer for the poor, David teaches at a University in the Czech Republic, and Paul teaches and plays World Music including classical Indian with the sitar.
