1. Pray for the Africa Ministry Team as Bob facilitates the team through a process to evaluate their existing and future partnerships. There are many opportunities to work with other ministries which are using radio as an effective tool. However FEBA doesn't have enough resources to assist each one. Pray that God will speak through this process.

2. In addition to their FEBA roles, Barb is involved with leading a women's Bible study through the church they joined in Pretoria. Bob is involved in the worship ministry, leading worship teams and discipling some of the musicians.

3.  Pray that God will continue to provide the resources and personnel to meet the requirements of the many radio projects that are making a difference in several countries across the African continent.

Brief Biography

Bob and Barb Bartz grew up in the US and became missionaries in 1989. They lived in Manila, Philippines serving with FEBC Radio for seventeen years. They have helped to get the gospel message transmitted to many countries where missionaries are not allowed. Recently the Lord has called them to South Africa to continue radio work with the sister organization, FEBA Radio.

Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) is committed to taking Christ to the world by radio. Radio is a tremendous means to get the word of the Lord out to the nations.

Trained in engineering, Bob started working for FEBC Radio in Manila in 1989. FEBC Radio enabled people from Southeast Asia to broadcast the Gospel back into their native countries from Manila in their own languages. Bob oversaw the completion of new and more powerful transmitters enabling the message to reach throughout Southeast Asia.

Bob and Barb are now called to work for FEBA and the Africa Executive Team to develop and implement ministry plans across the continent of Africa. They will be helping to reach out via radio to the surrounding areas, many of which are dominated by Muslims. Bob will assist FEBA Radio in using appropriate technologies for ministry expansion, helping local churches and ministries to reach out to the people around them.

Barb is gifted in helping women grow in their relationship with the Lord. She will be volunteering in the FEBA South Africa office and exploring new ministry opportunities where they are called. Bob enjoys writing and performing music, and he will continue to use these talents.
